I find I build storylines around a song, and then build from that feeling. Music is paramount to my games.
I almost forgot it’s Monday. Happy Einheitstag to all my fellow Germans 😁🎉
All you need is love. There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done. Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung. Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game. It’s easy. Nothing you can make that can’t be made. No one you can save that be saved. Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time. It’s easy. Nothing you can know that isn’t known. Nothing you can see that isn’t shown. There’s nowhere you can be where you weren’t meant to be. It’s easy. All you need is love. Love is all you need.
yes this has helped me and I am like your biggest fan from Utah
I always forget to make up NPCs until I start the game so they run into a lot of Bobs and Toms
i dont know if it counts but Notes Notes Notes, the more the better as long as you know what is where.
Thank you.
Even though I enjoy using NPCs, I have run games without any NPCs. So, I would say this is not an absolute. This is even more true for monsters, since I almost never use them, but well we talk about D&D, so they are rather common there, still I would not say they are absolutely needed, there are even modules that have no monsters. I never use maps. There is absolutely no need for them. Why do he think that those are needed? I am sure he knows that playing theatre of the mind style is a thing, and yet he makes claims here as if such a style would not exist. What went wrong there?
2:37 “Well I wrote down 7 orcish NPCs … the party decided not to go into the orc territories even though they said that they were going to go in there last week.”
That’s why you also need:
No. 9: A stick and a whip!
3 Things the GM should always bring to the table: Imagination, Inspiration and Inventiveness.
